SCBM’s Donation & CSR Activities: Sustainable energy enhancement program

On 29^th January 2026, a SCBM’s “Sustainable Energy Enhancement” program was led by SCB Myanmar’s General Manager - Mr. Worapong Utisayapongsa and SCBM Team at Basic Educational High School No. (9), Nyaung Village, Hlaing Tharyar Township in Yangon Region, Myanmar. The school is located at outskirt area of Yangon which is most vulnerable and needy children are attending.

SCB Myanmar has donated 1 set each of solar power system and thunder lightening protection system at the school for them to have the sustainable energy, financial savings & stability as well as to ensure students and communities to have the electricity supply in any circumstance especially due to shortage of electric supply, they can prevent shortage of clean water supply from water filtering system which SCBM donated last year. We also provided Burmese traditional breakfast (Mohninga) for the children, teachers and volunteers on the day. The 1 set each of solar power system & thunder lightening protection system and breakfast are worth in total USD 5,000.
